About TCAM

TCAM (Tuolumne County Aquatics Masters) is the third largest adult swimming program in the US. We practice and hold swim meets at the Sonora Sports and Fitness Center in Sonora, California. TCAM swimmers workout and compete in the Pacific Association in US Masters Swimming. The program emphasizes swimming for life and some members participate in local, regional, and national competition. Workouts are at designated daily times and are structured with a mixture of conditioning and instruction in all four of the competitive strokes as well as starts and turns.

Masters 101 is an entry-level swimming class for adult swimmers who wish to aquire swimming skills, learn the competitive strokes and techniques, become familiar with swimming equipment, and aquire swimming terminology with the goal of making a transition into swimming for life with TCA Masters. Classes are held at the
Sonora Sports and Fitness Center in Sonora, California, three times a week for four weeks and are taught by Dave Fairfield. Major emphasis is on stoke technique and drills to improve swimming efficiency.
